On one of my visits to the Houston Nature Center this previous summer, during Hoedown Days, we met LynRae Howard. She took some nice pictures of Sassy, and was willing to let me post them here. Thank You Lyn!!
Here is Sassy sitting on her indoor bow perch. She's looking quite spiffy with her fresh set of feathers.
We also went outside for a few pictures under the bright Summer Sunshine.
What a Lovely Girl!
Sassy is sitting sassy on Karla's arm. Karla is the naturalist that works at the Houston Nature Center. Karla is the keeper of Alice, the Great Horned Owl. Go visit them both some day.
Alice was not too happy about that OTHER raptor's presence in HER Nature Center!
On Friday, August 31st, with a Blue Moon rising that evening, Rich and I bought a house.
Here we are by the mail box and fire number sign.
Here we are getting the key to the house. That is actually the loan officer at the bank we got the loan from . . . not the real estate guy. But since the money to buy the house came from the bank, they are pretty much the ones who gave us the key. Now we start the long process of paying it off.
More pictures to come once I get all moved in and get everything in it's place. So far, I've gotten the bathroom livable, and decorated . . . and I LOVE IT!! It has a nice deep tub.
We are talking about having a House Warming Party once we are all moved in. We'll let everyone know the date and time.
Falconry! Or more appropriately for me, Hawking! It is a passion, and a way of life. I happily pursue this sport, with the loving assistance of my husband. Come along with me for our adventures with the birds. Primarily we actively pursue it in the colder months . . . the rest of the time I try to make this blog as interesting as possible. Come let me share my stories, and feel free to contact me. I always enjoy talking about my obsession with this sport.
